Frequently Asked Questions

What is OSRX?

OSRX is a PCAB-accredited compounded pharmacy located in Missoula, Montana. We compound customized ophthalmic medications.

Do I need to fill out an OSRX new prescriber registration form to begin prescribing?

Yes. To begin prescribing, you must create an OSRX prescriber registration form – click here to submit. Once received, an OSRX representative will promptly contact you to discuss pricing, ordering and to provide credentials to the OSRX Prescriber Portal.

How do I submit a prescription?

Prescriptions can be submitted one of two ways:

  • Our OSRX Prescriber Portal, which allows you to easily submit, track and manage your prescriptions online
  • Your practice's e-scripts (EMR) system

Can I e-scribe prescriptions using my EMR system?

Yes. Please contact us at info@osrxpharmaceuticals.com if you have any trouble.

Can I email my prescriptions?

No. Due to HIPAA laws and regulations, to protect personal information of a patient, you must submit prescriptions via the OSRX Prescriber Portal or your practice’s e-prescribing system (EMR).

When will my patient be contacted?

If a patient doesn’t receive a call or text within two business days, they can call (855) 466-1076. OSRX Pharmacy will be calling your patients from a (406) Area Code to confirm their address and take payment. They will also receive a text message with an order number and link to where they can easily verify their address and pay online. Once verification/payment is complete, their Rx will be mailed to their home. Patients will receive a text message with tracking info when their Rx ships. The Rx will arrive via USPS First-Class Mail (3–7 days).

When can my patient expect their medication?

Upon receipt, prescriptions are processed and prepared for shipping by the end of the next business day. Once processed, medications are shipped to the patient via USPS First-Class Mail (arrives in 3-7 days depending on location) or your facility (2-day FedEx). Expedited shipping is available for an added fee. If you have immediate needs, please contact us at (855) 466-1076.

When can patients contact OSRX to submit payment or check a prescription's status?

Patients need to wait two business days following the submission of their prescription before contacting OSRX to check the status of their prescription or pay their bill. After that two-day processing period has passed, patients can pay for their medication quickly and easily online with their order number that will be provided to them via text message. We also accept payment via phone at (855) 466-1076. When necessary, our staff will attempt to contact patients up to three times via phone to confirm shipping addresses and/or request payment.

How can patients pay for their medication?

Patients can pay for their medication on our secure website at paymyosrx.com or by calling our staff at (855) 466-1076. Online payment is the quickest and easiest of the two options -- patients simply enter their phone number, date of birth and payment amount (invoice number is not required). Patients should wait two business days following the submission of their prescription before contacting OSRX or paying online. This two-day grace period allows us to properly verify and enter the prescription into our system. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
